True Blessing: Brokenness

Are you praying for the Lord to bless you?

“And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to [his] disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.” – Matthew 14:19

True blessing from the Lord will require brokenness for it to multiply. Are you ready to give your life to Jesus to break you and mould you into His own plans? Will you allow Him to break your will and pursuit so He can give you His own?

True blessings from Jesus multiplies to bless others; five thousand men besides women and children partook of the blessing. The blessing from Christ will always be enough to meet every needs; everyone ate and there was even leftovers.

True blessing is never lost:
Jesus said, “Gather in the fragment that none be lost.” Jesus protects and gathers in true blessings, none will be lost.

The true blessing remained twelve baskets filled with the fragments of barley which was a reflection of God’s blessing upon the twelve tribes of Israel and the Apostles.

It reflects the holy Jerusalem having twelve gates with the names of the twelve tribes of Israel and twelve foundations with the names of the twelve Apostles of the Lamb. Revelation 21:10-21. This represents the blessing of God upon the twelve tribes and apostles.

Despite Jacob’s wealth and all he acquired in the house of Laban, he struggled with the angel of God for the true blessing. But you can’t get the true blessing without first opening up to God and confessing your true spiritual status to Him (Jacob opened up and confessed his sin, repented and asked for forgiveness for being a supplanter). We can never get away with any sin; they must be confessed and forsaken and fully embrace Christ.

When you confess and repent then will the Lord bless you as His Israel (the spiritual and physical blessing as an Israelite) and break you (dislocate your joint, arm of the flesh, your strength) so you can fill the earth.

Do not wait until you are at a fix, at your wits’ end, like Jacob was before you seek this true blessing. Jacob sought the blessing when there was ‘death/destruction’ in front of him (Esau wanted to harm him) and ‘death/destruction’ behind him (Laban filled with hatred, might probably harm him if he should return to Syria.).

Release yourself to Jesus as the boy released his all to Jesus in John 6:9: “There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?” Jesus took that complete offering from the boy, blessed it, broke it and multiplied the offering making the boy became a blessing to nations.

Seek true blessings when praying and not earthly blessings/stores which moths will eat up and you will have your heart trapped in them.

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.” – Rom 12:1
